Services

2RW provided mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection (MEP/FP) engineering for several key renovations within the hospital and an adjacent clinical building. These included the interior fit-outs of the cancer center’s infusion bays and isolation area, a new pre-op unit, and an updated café to better serve patients, staff, and visitors. In the adjacent building, 2RW supported the renovation of a new OBGYN clinic, transforming the space to accommodate clinical functions for women’s health. We also upgraded the complex’s site lighting, replacing outdated, inefficient fixtures with modern LED lighting to improve energy efficiency, visibility, and safety across the campus. Across all projects, we conducted field investigations to assess existing building systems and ensure our designs integrated smoothly with the facility’s central infrastructure. Special attention was given to coordinating each renovation with the hospital’s existing utility systems to ensure continuity of operations and minimize disruption in an occupied healthcare environment. The upgrades focused on supporting specialized equipment needs, improving ventilation and comfort for patients and staff, and meeting healthcare-specific standards for safety, lighting, and hygiene.

Results

These renovations provided much-needed upgrades to aging infrastructure while expanding the center’s ability to serve the community. Each space was modernized to support current clinical workflows, improve energy efficiency, and enhance the overall patient experience—from brighter, more comfortable treatment areas to improved air quality and staff support zones.
