Project Goals

In 2003, Arlington County began implementing master plan improvements over several phases at Tyrol Hill Park. After a hiatus, a 2016 survey identified the community’s desire to complete the improvements to provide local families with a recreation and relaxation space.

Services

2RW provided a variety of services for this project, including:

  • A solar photovoltaic feasibility study and report outlining PV options and comparing their anticipated return on investment
  • MEP/FP design for:
    • A new unisex restroom with low-flow fixtures
    • LED lighting for a new picnic shelter and athletic court
    • Site power

Results

  • The park improvements serve Arlington County residents with a safe, well-lit, recreational space.
  • The site power was upgraded to support expansion for future park improvements.
