Washington-Liberty High School is a state-of-the-art school that opened in 2005 in Arlington County, Virginia, one of the fastest-growing counties in the U.S. As rapid population growth began to stress the County’s high schools, Arlington Public Schools considered a variety of strategies to accommodate the student influx. One option included renovating the school to better utilize classrooms, open spaces, and other school support areas and expand its capacity from 1,900 to 2,200 seats.
