Electrical engineering for this upgrade addressed increased computer usage by replacing the existing UPS with a larger system to provide reliable backup power. The expanded capacity ensures continued operations during power outages or voltage fluctuations.

Project Goals

As computer usage has increased throughout the office building since the original uninterruptible power supply (UPS) was installed, a larger battery backup was needed. The larger battery ensures that operations continue uninterrupted should the electrical power fail or drop to an unacceptable voltage level.

Services

2RW’s services included:

  • A project kick-off meeting with the County to discuss project goals
  • A facility assessment to evaluate existing systems and determine whether they could be re-used
  • Electrical design to upgrade computer room UPS from a 20kVA UPS to a 70kVA
  • modular UPS that can scale to support future upgrades
