Project Goals
Gilmer Hall was built in 1961 and underwent a major addition in 1987. The building contains administrative offices, classrooms, dry and wet research labs, library, and auditorium.
Services
2RW provided MEP design for:
- Nine biology research labs funded by the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and National Center for Research Resources (NCRR) grants
- A new greenhouse
- Renovations to the research equipment spaces, the main auditorium, multiple biology/psychology research labs, classroom spaces, and the library
Retro-commissioning was performed on all systems to identify any deficiencies or required repairs. Specific strategies were presented for improving performance of the various building systems.
