2RW would like to congratulate the Science Museum of Virginia for achieving LEED Gold certification for its Dewey Gottwald Center! The final design achieved 28% energy reduction over baseline, well above the initial target of 14%. Sustainable MEP features include:
- Zoned HVAC systems to accommodate movable partitions
- Demand-controlled ventilation to reduce energy use during periods of low occupancy
- Power and data outlets arranged in an array at floor level and above the ceiling to provide flexibility for a variety of A/V systems and configurations
