2RW teamed with the prime contractor to complete a significant portion of the engineering design during the pursuit of this design-build project. The team was subsequently hired to complete the project.

2RW provided the following services:

• Full MEP/FP engineering, components of which included a water-source heat pump system, high-efficiency plumbing fixtures, and LED lighting to achieve LEED Gold certification. The MEP/FP systems accommodated a variety of specialized spaces within the facility:
• • Men’s and women’s locker rooms
  • Training, hydrotherapy, and strength and conditioning rooms
  • Players’ lounges and academic study areas
  • Video viewing and editing rooms
  • Coach, trainer, and support staff offices and conference rooms
  • Player dining area with prep kitchen
  • Hall of Fame lobby
• LEED energy modeling to optimize energy performance.

The principles of sustainable design guided every aspect of this project. Innovative building systems, storm water/wastewater management systems, and design strategies were promoted to the maximum extent possible to attain the goal of LEED Gold certification.
