While projects under the mechancial, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) term contract may be small in size, they all support the University’s sustainability, historic preservation, and academic goals in some way. They also advance Facilities Management’s mission of creating and caring for the physical environment “in which those who seek enlightenment, knowledge, health, and productive lives can flourish”. 2RW designs MEP term contract projects with an understanding of the University’s mission and ensures that they seamlessly integrate within the Grounds’ infrastructure—both in its current and future iterations.
2RW was awarded the UVA MEP engineering services term contract in 2015 and again in 2019. 2RW is responsible for staffing and scoping projects, managing consultants and timelines, project engineering, construction administration, and coordinating with the University. To date, 2RW has completed or is currently working on more than 130 projects under these contracts, including:
