The new Upper School, which will open in September, is setting standards for wellness and energy efficiency. As a building targeting Net Zero energy use it, will generate 100% of its energy needs on-site by tying into the campus’s existing PV array. As a WELL Precertified Gold building, the school explores the connection between the building and the health and wellness of its occupants. The WELL standard is based on seven categories of building performance—air, water, nourishment, light, fitness, comfort, and mind.
