As 2RW celebrates its 40th anniversary, we’re marking this milestone with the opening of a new office in Midlothian, VA, extending our ability to serve clients and projects across the Greater Richmond area. The decision reflects both our growing presence and our commitment to purposeful, sustainable growth.

Richmond has long been central to 2RW’s work, with more than 30 projects completed at Virginia Commonwealth University in the last five years, as well as a strong portfolio with the Department of General Services, civic institutions, and K–12 schools. Our experience also extends across Central and Eastern Virginia, including higher education clients such as the College of William & Mary. The Richmond office builds on this strong foundation, positioning the firm to deliver even more responsive and community-focused service.
The new office brings us closer to our projects and client teams, helping us provide more responsive service, increase site-visit coverage, and strengthen daily collaboration. The space also offers greater accessibility for our staff and partners—a convenient, central hub where engineers, architects, and collaborators can connect and share ideas. It creates new opportunities to cultivate talent and innovation, attracting emerging professionals, mentoring future leaders, and continuing to deliver practical, sustainable solutions for the region’s communities. Most importantly, it deepens our connection to the Richmond region, allowing us to stay closely engaged with its character, priorities, and growth opportunities while building on relationships we’ve developed over decades of work here.
This expansion represents not the start of something new, but the deepening of a relationship we have cultivated for years. We look forward to building upon these foundations as we continue to partner with the Richmond community.
