This week marked an exciting milestone as construction officially began on the Albemarle County Public School ACE Academy Lambs Lane. 2RW is proud to provide MEP/FP engineering for this 60,000 SF, two-story facility, designed to foster a modern learning environment with flexible, collaborative, and interdisciplinary spaces.
Sustainability is at the forefront of this project. Our design integrates:
- Highly efficient mechanical systems featuring geothermal heat recovery chillers
- PV-ready rooftop to support future renewable energy initiatives
- Geothermal bore fields strategically placed beneath the redesigned parking lot
- EV charging stations to support sustainable transportation
These initiatives reduce and offset energy usage, aligning with LEED design goals and ensuring a high-performing, energy-efficient facility for future generations.
We’re excited to see this vision come to life, with the expected completion date in August 2026.
