Fontaine Research Park building 415 is a 70,000 SF medical office facility constructed to house outpatient clinical services for UVA Health. Tenants include endocrine and ear, nose and throat clinics and a full-service imaging center with CT scan, MRI, X-ray, ultrasound, bone density scanning, and fluoroscopy suites.
For the first-floor fitout, 2RW designed:
As a separate project, 2RW provided MEP/FP design and LEED Enhanced Commissioning for the fitout of the third floor which included an injection suite.
2RW incorporated many energy efficient strategies in the building design, and it exceeded the energy standards of the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating, and Air Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE) 90.1. Since placed in service, the building has demonstrated energy usage half that of other similar buildings in the research park (annual usage per square foot).
