2RW completed an inventory database of building components and a selective deficiency inspection of 4,449,005 square feet of space in 28 buildings at Bowling Green State University. The inventory database was produced through an audit of the facilities.
2RW conducted a facility condition assessment to complete the inventory database which included building components in the following classes:
The inventory was entered into a computer program, and included the quantity and installation year of each building component. Some components include a note that may be used to describe unique information such as location, nameplate data, or special conditions.
In addition to the inventory data collection, 2RW engineers identified deficiencies of a critical nature—those that constitute an immediate threat to life or the building. These deficiencies included all mechanical, electrical and plumbing (MEP) categories as well as building code and fire code. Each deficiency record included a description, location, category, priority, recommendation, and estimated cost to repair or alleviate the condition.
