Machicomoco State Park celebrated its grand opening on April 16th 2021, making it the 40th State Park to join Virginia’s Park system. The 645-acre park, set along the York River, educates visitors on Native American culture and the history of indigenous people in the state through interactive walking paths and a learning area. The park also features hiking and biking paths, full-service and primitive campsites, restroom facilities, and picnic shelters. 2RW is proud to have collaborated on this project with Nelson Byrd Woltz LandscapeArchitects.
