SBC Path to Resiliency and Energy Efficiency

A geothermal system can be a sustainable and cost-effective alternative to traditional fossil fuel-based heating and cooling systems and can help reduce a facility’s carbon footprint. In the case of Sweet Briar College, an assessment conducted by 2RW found that implementing a central geothermal system could offer several benefits, including increased system efficiency, reduced maintenance through the consolidation of equipment, and the flexibility to support the addition of new buildings and the overall growth of the college.
