Services

2RW is providing sustainable MEP/FP engineering for this project, which is currently in design. Final sustainable design approaches will be determined as the project progresses; however, some of the project’s early considerations include:

  • Managing daylight and heat gain along the southern and western facades and comfort and usability in the north courtyard.
  • Addressing high cooling demands.
  • Managing HVAC requirements for a wide variety of space types and occupancy profiles.
  • Developing a flexible MEP/FP infrastructure that can support future upgrades.
  • Devising strategies for the placement of mechanical equipment that serves vibration-sensitive labs.
  • Designing dedicated HVAC systems for IT rooms on each floor.
Managing power requirements for the department of computer science’s computing center needs, including redundant emergency/UPS systems.
