2RW was engaged by LRHA to conduct an analysis of water and energy conservation potential at LRHA facilities. The purpose of this analysis was to identify cost-effective water and energy conservation opportunities that would produce enough cost savings to repay the implementation costs and generate a positive cash flow.
2RW analyzed numerous energy and water conservation measures as a part of this evaluation. The technical and economic feasibility of these measures was examined, and certain measures were grouped into a proposed project that could provide significant dollar savings.
2RW made adjustments to utility allowances which included updating all applicable utility rates (gas, electric, water, and sewer) for all four LRHA developments. In addition, 2RW recreated a Utility Allowance Report to reflect allowance cost changes.
2RW engineers performed engineering calculations for a geothermal heat pump evaluation. Calculations involved historic and existing heating and cooling system efficiencies, bin outdoor temperature data, and building heat load characteristics.
