Last night, Charlottesville’s LEED Platinum Fontaine Fire Station received the 2018 Leadership Award for Innovative Design in New Construction from USGBC Virginia. The project was recognized for pushing the envelope of green design in Virginia. Since the station opened in 2014, it has been recognized extensively for its innovative design and environmental stewardship.

On hand to celebrate were representatives of the City of Charlottesville and from LeMay Erickson Willcox Architects and 2RW Consultants—all of whom helped bring this extraordinary facility to life. Congratulations to all involved in this ground-breaking project! Learn more about the project.
