Farmington Country Club is a historic building built prior to 1780. It  features an east wing that was designed by Thomas Jefferson in 1802. Over the years the facility had been updated and renovated to stay up to date  and serve the evolving needs of its members while preserving important original design and historic elements.

Results

This project entailed renovating and expanding the grill and dining areas, adding new child care  facilities, and constructing new pool locker rooms. 2RW prepared MEP/FP bridging documents which were used to solicit design-build bids from subcontractors and provided construction administration services. The updated ventilation systems eliminated a long-term problem of kitchen exhaust build-up and improved air circulation and air quality in the dining and locker rooms. As a design-build project, 2RW, the contractor, and other consultants began collaborating early in the process, which helped the project proceed smoothly and efficiently.
