2RW supported the City of Alexandria to expand its Eco-City Green Building Program by developing new resources for businesses and residents. The projects focused on developing educational green building resources including workshops, printed materials, online tools, and case studies of energy audits.
2RW’s primary responsibility was to develop educational content for the web-based Green Building Resource Center (GBRC) that provides residents, businesses, and municipalities with a hub for information about green building in Alexandria. In addition, 2RW conducted four commercial energy audits on buildings in Alexandria. The reports and findings from the audits are published online and serve as local case studies.
2RW worked on a team with Sustainable Design Consultants, Virginia Sustainable Building Network, and Earth Craft Virginia to support City of Alexandria staff with various projects identified for Phase II of the City of Alexandria’s Eco-City Green Building Program.
